I need ideas

So I am planning on grocery shopping later. I need ideas. Anyone have any recipes to share? I am tired of making the same things. I need inexpensive and healthy (or semi healthy) meal ideas. I am tired of spending so much on groceries.

Oh and for those of you who asked about Christmas Tree Shoppes...It is a discount store here in the US mainly in New England but there are a few other locations (DE, IN,MI,NY, NJ, OH, PA). Its one of those stores my husband hates. They are great for holiday decorations, seasonal things. Its just one of those stores you can browse and find great bargains. I love getting tissue paper, gift bags, wrapping paper/bags.

I am on a mission cleaning today. I still haven't quite made this place how I want it, so I have piles of things all over the place. I am starting to hang pictures and things. Baby steps I know. I should have taken more before pics...Maybe I will have to look through and post some afters anyway....

Alright now help me with some recipes!! Pwease!!

Sounds like my kind of shop!

Now here is a nice recipe ~ and it's only 380 calories per portion!
This one serves 2.
Tagliatelle with roasted butternut squash

300g peeled weight butternut squash
85g shallots, cut in chunks
spray oil
salt n pepper
1 rounded tsp brown sugar
2 tsp butter
1 tsp chopped fresh thyme leaves
175g Tagliatelle
2 dspn grated parmesan cheese

1/ Heat oven to 220 oC / gas mark 6
2/ cut butternut squash into chunks and put on a baking sheet along with shallots. Spray with oil, season with salt n pepper and sprinkle with brown sugar.
Roast in oven for about 25 mins till cooked.
3/ Cook Tagliatelle until tender. Drain and serve between two serving dishes. Toss in 1 tsp of butter into each serving.
4/ remove the squash and shallots from the oven and stir in the thyme. Divide the mixture between the 2 servings and top each with 1 dspn grated parmesan cheese.

Hope you like this one!

Love,
Amanda x

I'm not the best cook and I know many people can vouch for that! But I do like chicken spaghetti and it's an easy recipe. I'm sure you can just google "chicken spaghetti" and it will pop up!

Who doesn't know about the Christmas Tree Shop?!?!?! ha ha ha
Try the kraft foods website. You can type in certain ingredients and it will give you recipes (some healthy). They are usually quick and inexpensive meals. Good Luck :)

Hi there!

I made burritos tonight - you know, tortillas, cheese, taco meat, carmelized onions and tomato. Super easy and I made each one to order (so the kids actually eat them).

Good luck.
